Perm - Body Wave
Perm - Permanent wave, commonly called a perm or "permanent", involves the use of perm rods and a waving solution to reform the hair structure. The hair is washed and a neutralizer is applied to lock in the new structure of the hair to the size of the perm rods.
Body Wave - A body wave is a loose curl that results in a wave pattern rather than a tight roll. The sections of hair are wrapped around larger rollers rather than the ones used for other types of perms. Rollers are often inserted in varying and natural patterns to create a soft and natural looking wave. While the diameter of the rod may vary, most waves will be loose enough to wear a variety of looks.
